Her Legacy Lives On: A Tribute to Helen Keller

With eyes as blind,

As the midnight sky,

Without stars or the moon,

To light the night,

With fingers as eyes,

And ears,

That spelled out conversations,

In ” Teachers hand. ”

Or a monotone voice,

Hard to understand,

With stories and poems,

And life lessons written,

From a woman who,

Could not see or hear,

With lessons carried one today,

Her legacy lives on.

Authors Note:

Decide to write another poem dedicated to Helen Keller because she is my inspiration in much of what I do, and I am currently doing a research project on her for my English Class, so shes been a focus as of late….
