Samantha is dealing with uncontrolable thoughts and OCD which she tries to hide from those around her.  Even her Mother believes she has contol over her thoughts but that is far from the case.  A  few years prior when she was seeing a counselor she was encouraged to keep journals in order to sort through her thoughts and emotions.  Soon though Samantha comes to realize that she was not alone.  She also finds an outlet in writing poetry.

This book gives us a powerful look at a teen who is trying to fit in to grow into her own despite having OCD.  It shows of her struggles with friendship and with loss but it also shows hergrowth.

I would reccomend this book to young adults twelve and up.

I give Every Last Word five out of five stars,

Happy Reading
