I was given a copy of What Happened On Beale Street through the publisher and their partnership with Netgalley in exchange for my honest review:

Nicki price is a partner in a P.I agency in the middle of the night one night she gets a call from Danny Andre after not having heard from him in months.  Danny Andre had been her childhood best friend has managed to get himself into some trouble, enough trouble that it scares him and prompts him to call Nikki in the middle of the night.  Soon Nicki finds herself heading to Memphis despite not knowing where exactly in Memphis he lives.  Eventually Nicki finds herself heading to Memphis with her cousin and head of the P.I agency Nate.

Nicki’s fiancé Hunter insists on footing the bill for this trip including putting her and her cousin up in a luxury hotel

Danny’s sister Izzy goes to his last known address after Nicki calls her to find the place ramsacked with blood in the apartment.  Danny is nowhere in sight

Officer Flynn seems to take an immediate dislike to Hunter and Danny.  Shortly after a body is found and Nicki and his sister positively I.D it as Danny.  The officers are certain its related to drugs but Nicki has no doubt her friend was murdered.

Nicki and Nate set out to prove that Danny did not die of a drug overdose that he was murdered.

Will Nicki and Nate discover what really happened to Danny?

Find out in What Happened on Beale Street.

I give this book five out of five Stars

Happy Reading
