I was given a copy of Lucy In Her Secret Wood through the publisher and their partnership with Netgalley in exchange for my honest review which is as follows:
Lucy’s Stepfather drops Lucy of in the woods when she is a little girl, but soon Lucy finds herself making friends with some of the creatures. When she hears people coming to look for her she hides in an opening in an Old Oak Tree not wanting to go back.
Lucy’s only friend for as long as she can remember is the old stuffed rabbit she does not even know is a toy.
In the woods Lucy meets a human friend, a boy named Will who helps her. He brings her food and Chickens that lay eggs so she doesn’t go hungry.
After a time the authorities find Lucy and take her to an Orphanage, taking her away from the woods she loves the head nun of the School is a harsh woman, who really does not do well with the Children but Lucy can never be at home in an Orphanage.
Will she be given a chance to go to her beloved woods, or will she be stuck in the Orphanage that she doesn’t belong in.
Five out of five stars
