I was given Bonyo Bonyo through the publisher and their partnership with Netgalley in exchange for my honest review which is as follows:

Bonyo Bonyo is a young boy in Kenya Africa with a big dream.  He wants to be a doctor.  He believes he was born in September of 1962.  He was born in Western Kenya near Kisumu.  There were five people in his family and they were farmers.

When he was eight or nine his baby sister who was six months old died which was extremely sad for him.

When he was in Seventh grade he did not have the dollar a year for his school fees o the owner of the General Store let him go to his school free of charge it would mean a two day walk but school was important and worth the walk.

In high school Bonyo Bonyo attended a Catholic Boarding School free of charge because he got such good grades.  When he was seventeen Bonyo Bonyo raised enough money with the help of family and friends to continue his education in Texas.

This is a wonderful story about how a young boy fought hard to succeed and became a Doctor despite difficult circumstances.

I give this book five out of five stars.

Happy Reading
