Book Review:  The Pleasure of God

The Pleasure of God

Finding Grace in the Ordinary
by J. Ellsworth Kalas

Westminster John Knox Press

Christian, Religion & Spirituality

Pub Date 11 Feb 2016

I am voluntarily reviewing a copy of The Pleasure of God through the publisher and Netgalley:

This book points out that some years before followers of Jesus were called Christians, they were referred to as “People of the way,”

This book shows us how we as Christians can Find Grace in the ordinary moments of life.

We are reminded too that Jesus enjoyed eating, and others enjoyed eating with him, but it also points out that food is better when it’s savored it is not meant to be shoveled into our mouths.

Even the importance of sleep, and bathing are brought up in The Pleasure of God.

The importance of giving and receiving are also brought up in this book.

I give The Pleasure of God five out of five stars.

Happy Reading.
